Atish Dipankar Srijnan was a Buddhist Bengali religious leader, prospector and master. He was also a scholar and philosopher. He was born in c. 980 or 982 or 983 AD as suggested by Buddhist scholars. He was the son of Kalyanasree and Prabhavati Devi. He was born in Vajragogini, Vikramapura, Bangladesh. He was one of the major figures in the spread of 11-th centuary Mahayana and Vajrayana Bhusdhism in Asia and inspired Buddhism thought from Tibet to Sumatra.
